Thank you for choosing to volunteer with us - we're so excited to have you!! Helping on a Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County construction site is one of the most unique, hands-on experiences in Central Florida. Whether you have never swung a hammer or you’re a seasoned professional, we provide all of the training and tools necessary to truly make a difference.

Below is a break down of your volunteer day:

8:00am - 8:15am Check-in (We need all volunteers to arrive no later than 8:15am)

8:15am - 8:30am Introductions, safety, & job tasks

8:30am - 11:15am Work

11:15am - 12:00pm Lunch

12:00pm - 1:30pm Work

1:30pm - 2:00pm Clean Up

All volunteers are required to complete a 2019 liability waiver prior to volunteering. Please click here for a copy of our 2020 liability waiver - every individual should print this form out, complete it, and bring it with him/her on the scheduled volunteer day.

  • Adults: Please complete the 2nd page of the liability waiver in its entirety.
  • Minors: Please complete the 2nd and 3rd pages of the liability waiver in their entirety. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, and volunteers under 18 are restricted to certain construction activities.

Important things to remember:

  • Check-in begins at 8:00am, and volunteers work until 2:00pm. Please arrive onsite no later than 8:15am.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required on our build sites. Most volunteers wear sneakers or flat boots, shorts or jeans, a tee shirt, a bandanna, a baseball cap, and sunglasses when working out on our construction sites.
  • Construction volunteers typically help with one or more of the following job tasks: framing walls, installing siding, hanging drywall, caulking, priming, painting, landscaping, and so much more.
  • We will have plenty of water on site, but we do not typically provide lunch. Volunteers can bring a bagged lunch, go off-site during the lunch break, or arrange to have food delivered to the site.
